Trick or Treat!

Halloween night was a wonderful evening spent trick or treating and eating candy with our favorite people, full of cute little costumed cousins, aunts and uncles, and our annual post-Halloween pizza party.  P really got into Halloween this year and had so much fun.  She even approached the 'scary painted weird guy in a coffin' house without fear (probably because she remembered that he hands out the big candy bars, score!).  She said "Trick or Treat" and "Thank you" at every house and made her mommy so proud.  Thankfully she saved this little gem for the ride home:  "Trick or Treat, smell my feet, give me something good to eat.  If you don't, I will smell YOUR feet".  At least she started on the right track... but I think I'll have to tell her that her version might not be in her best interest. hehe.

Post trick or treat pizza party.  That's P's candy basket on the table... lucky ME!

P and her pumpkins.  This was her costume from last year. She wanted to wear it to her school's Halloween party.
I can't believe that Halloween is already over... that means that D is about to make his appearance and we're all so excited!  This weekend we pulled out P's bassinet and assembled it.  It brought back so many memories of her when she was a newborn.  Even the silly little sound machine that came with the bassinet brought a tear to my eye with memories of her, and the thought that I am about to create the same precious memories of another sweet little baby... I can hardly contain myself.  I can't wait to see his beautiful little face and kiss his chubby little fingers and toes, and to see P's face light up when she meets her little brother and holds him for the first time.  She is already the proud big sis and has already asked if we can take D to school so all of her friends can meet him.  How cute!

Well, it's 11:50p and I am going to watch Grey's Anatomy now.  Pregnancy insomnia is so fun!  Good night, all.

  1. We had a great night too and we are so glad this is a family tradition that we share! Can't wait to add D to the mix next year!
